Boys Volleyball 2009

IHMS had only one boy’s volleyball team for the 2009 season. It was coached by Mr. Maguire with Matthew Meyer, a former IHMS student acting as an assistant coach.

The team ended their season with a respectable 4 wins and 2 losses. Keep in mind that they competed against several larger schools (such as Westgate) who have more students to build their team.

 
The players on the boy’s team were: Marko K., Quinlan G., Kristian S., Kurt K., Keyshawn A., Damon F., Roman H., Nick K., Carter L., Nazariy D., and Andriy S.

The boy’s also entered three tournaments:

  1. The St. Paul’s Tournament, where they placed 5th overall out of 11 teams. Also at the St. Paul’s Tournament, Roman H., the team’s captain, was voted MVP - the most valuable player on the IHMS team! Nice job, Roman!
  2. The John W. Gunn Tournament where the boys came in 3rd overall!
  3. The St. Alphonsus tournament, where they tied for 1st overall.
