Immaculate Heart of Mary School
Photo Tour of School - Continued . . .

There are places in the school that most people rarely (if ever) see. For example . . .

This is Mr. Picklyk's office. The grey metal box in the photo on the right is the P.A. system where Mr. Picklyk makes announcements and conducts the morning exercises.

This is the I.H.M.S. staff room. Teachers come here for lunch and coffee breaks. Teachers also use the staff room for their monthly meetings.

This is what you would see behind the door at the back landing. It's just a storage room full of paper goods. Notice the back of the stairs at the top of the picture.

This is Mr. Fil's workbench, at the back of his office. If anything in the school needs to be repaired, this is where Mr. Fil fixes it.

The photo on the left, taken in the small room next to the office, shows the teacher "mailboxes". Messages and mail are left here for the staff. The photo on the right was taken at the back of the boiler room.

This is inside the boiler room, looking toward the door. The boiler in the picture is maintained by Mr. Fil, and is used to heat the entire school in winter.

Another photo of the boiler, looking in from the door.

This is a place where almost no one has been - under the school! The above photo shows the floor underneath the gym.

Some of the plumbing and gas lines under the school.

The photo on the left shows a pile in the ground supporting the huge concrete beam that supports the entire school. The photo on the right is a close up view of the metal support braces underneath the gym floor.

Mr. Fil demonstrates how the ladder in the boiler room is lowered in order to gain access to the roof.

The photo on the left shows the opening onto the roof from the ladder in the boiler room. The photo on the right shows Mr. Fil walking on the roof.

The part of the roof over the school gym. Notice the skylights on the roof.

A view of the school from the gym roof.

These photos show two adjacent areas of the playground from on top the school.

Finally, this is a photo of the morning traffic in the back lane as seen from the top of the school.
